The Jarrett House Inn and Restaurant is partnering with The Golden Carp to add a rejuvenated gift shop to the historic property.
The new principal owner of the Jarrett House, Constantine Roumel, wanted to continue the revitalization of the Jarrett House by also changing The Gift Shop. He approached John Miele, who was already part of the design team for the Jarrett House and co-owner of The Golden Carp, with the idea.
“When you’ve had a business for 24 years an opportunity like this is invigorating! It’s exciting to be part of the ‘new’ Jarrett House,” said Miele.
Although The Gift Shop is an extension of The Golden Carp it will still have its own character and will offer a new kind of fine art, photography.
Photographs taken by local photographer, Kim Coudret, from Franklin, North Carolina, will be prominently featured.
Coudret’s photographs are vibrant and known for capturing the endless beauty of the Great Smoky Mountains. She focuses primarily on landscape and nature shots.
In addition to selling beautiful still shots, The Gift Shop also will offer unique items such as colorful scarfs, handmade purses, pottery, and scented candles with relaxing aromas.
It has all the taste and creativity The Golden Carp has always had.
In the future, The Gift Shop plans to sell necessities such as toiletries and medicines. This will further convenience the guests of the Jarrett House Inn who did not arrive perfectly packed.
While The Gift Shop will be a luxury for those guests staying at the Jarrett House Inn, locals and tourists dining at the Jarrett House Restaurant–as well as all visitors to Dillsboro–are invited to check out The Gift Shop.
The Gift Shop will be open during lunch and dinner services: 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and 4:30 to 8:30 p.m., Tuesdays through Saturdays.
