The Jackson County Green Energy Park is hosting its annual Youth Arts Festival on Saturday, Sept. 21 from 9 a.m until 3 p.m. The festival will showcase local and regional artists as they demonstrate their skills.
Guests can expect to see weaving, painting and pottery making demonstrations, among many others. Also, this year, professional glass artists and blacksmiths will be demonstrating their skills.
Along with the demonstrations, the festival will have hands-on activities for kids, such as pottery and print making. Other family-friendly activities will be in abundance, such as face painting, chalk art and weaving. The festival is free to all, which includes admission, activities and demonstrations.
“The Youth Arts Festival provides the best time a family will have, and it’s completely free,” said Timm Muth, director of the Green Energy Park.
While the festival is an opportunity to showcase local artists, it’s also a great time to teach the community about renewable energy.
The festival will be held at the Green Energy Park, which is located at 100 Green Energy Park Road, Dillsboro, NC 28725. For more information, click this link or call (828) 631-0271.
