The new downtown mural will unveiled at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 5.

“We expect the annual Colorfest to be hugely successful based on past year’s attendance,” said Dillsboro Merchant Association President Lisa Potts. “It’s an awesome fit for Dillsboro. It makes Dillsboro a fine art destination.”

ColorFest, Art & Food of Appalachia is produced by Catch the Spirit of Appalachia, Inc. with support from the Dillsboro Merchants Association, Jackson County Visual Arts Association, the Jackson County Arts Council and Jackson County Chamber of Commerce.

In addition to the displays, artists will demonstrate how to craft art and will also include how to make various foods. Mountain music and clogging will also be on display.
